What happened?

The Original Prusa MK4/MK3.9 is showing the message: "Overcurrent detected on nozzle heater."

Error name: Nozzle Heater Overcurrent

Error code: #26308 (MK4S) #13308 (MK4) #21308 (MK3.9)

The error is shown when there is a damaged cable on the hotend heater or any of its connections.

How to fix it?

The most likely cause of this issue is damage to the hotend heater cable. Check the path between the hotend heater and the LoveBoard, and see if there are any parts that are broken or pinched.

In case there is no damage, check the cable connection to the LoveBoard board. Try reconnecting the cable to its connector.

In rare cases, this error message can be shown in case of damage to the LoveBoard, or to the xBuddy board. So if the cables and connectors are intact, check the boards for any visible damage.

Always touch the sides of the electronic board while manipulating it. Avoid touching the chips, capacitors, and other parts of the electronics.

I am facing the same problem with a printer that seems now "bricked". The error comes up almost as soons as the machine boots into the menu page. I have been on with support now twice and the problem is not solved. I have measured the hotend to be ~15 ohms and have installed a new love board that was sent to me. I am being told that a new main cable can be sent out to see if this fixes the problem. Any advice in the interim would be appreciated. Thanks

I have the same issue with my second hotend heater.
So I measured the resistance of both:
Working one: 16 Ohm
Defect one: 1 Ohm

Seems to me, that I need a new one :-(

how can a supposedli bent powercable from the hotend provoke overcurrent alarm as suggested by your support team? I'm really curious if the cable I will receive next week will solve the 13308 alarm ...

What should the normal resistance (range) of the hotend heater be please? It's not mentioned in https://help.prusa3d.com/article/multimeter-usage_2117
