It is really bad joke, that the new MK4S display holder cannot be used with encloser - it is too high and the door cannot be closed. No mention in the instruction, this surprise came whern all is ready and I wanted to put the printer back to encloser. Kde udělali soudruzi od Průši chybu ??? Really shame
Yes, thanks. However it makes me upset, this surprise. I promised to my colleagues to have everything ready today - and the only last step to put the printer back to encloser.... there is no excuse for Prusa.
On the Original Prusa MK3.9S page (prusa.io/mk39s), the links to the Assembly Instructions are reversed. The link for the Original Prusa MK4/MK3.9 to MK4S/MK3.9S upgrade take you to the instructions for the Original Prusa i3 MK3/MK3S/MK3S+ to MK4S/MK3.9S upgrade
If you want the whole X-carriage to be PCCF, print out the x-carriage and main-plate* before starting. The x-carriage-back, x-carriage-cable-holder, x-carriage-cable-holder-cover, and x-carriage-clip are also left as PETG. But all of those parts can be easily removed and replaced individually. Only the x-carriage and main-plate require you dissasemble multiple parts. * The MMU3 comes with a main-plate printed from a MJF printer. So you can skip the main-plate if you plan on getting a MMU3 or already have one.
You may want to print out the Y-belt-idler if you plan on replacing that too. The new LCD holder is really frustrating to remove and blocks the screws you use to remove the Y-belt-idler.
Just a note on the old xLCD to hopefully save you some time. If you have the old version and are using that kit (the one that contains a 3D printed xLCD cover) and you already have you're MK4 xLCD attrached to the outside of your Original Prusa Enclosure, then you don't need to print anything. I did find an R2 version of the left bracket where the PE casble is, but it isn't very different from the R1 version. Anyway, the xLCD brackets, the knob, and all the fasteners can be resued. Basically you're just swapping out the 3D printed xLCD cover that has "MK4" screen printed on it with an identical 3D printed xLCD cover with "MK4S" screen printed on it. That's it. Frankly, having one of each (the old xLCD and the new xLCD) I wish both kits just came with the printed cover. To my eye it just looks better.
