Differences between feb 2023 and oct 2019 are huge. only two parts are identical in this bag. The two in the middle are the same, the rest are not. https://imgur.com/gallery/NRIIZRg
Wrong part... The part in the bag looks like the one for the mk3/mk2.5 extruder... not the MK3s+... Given that my mk3s+ is in a million pieces now, this put me in quite a predicatment. I did download the part, and blew the dust off of my old snapmaker, and was able to print the part... but I lost valuable hours. There should be a big fat warning about this part that is visible BEFORE you begin this project. If all you have is your prusa... you would be in trouble here.
HA!I had *no idea* the 'different orange Adapter-printer-mmu2s part' block was a substitute for an earlier version.an amended photo with the 'X' by the black block with the bearing bore, The MK3S+ version with a check mark, AND a photo of the alternate block for the earlier versions saying 'Use only for MK3/earlier models' or something similar will let builders know what to look for.I just scanned through the complete build instructions, start to finish, desperately looking for the 'leftover' part. "Oh no! How did I miss this in the parts listing?!"It was only as a last-hope effort that I considered, 'maybe this fills a hole in an older machine?BINGO.I'm still enjoying the build process, and nearly ready to test-run the upgrade.
Looks like there's two different versions of this part, and they are pretty different. So just be aware yall if you're confused by the photo. My kit came with both versions (both printed in orange) - Prusa fam you might wanna add some info about this bc I was pretty confused for a bit, mostly while removing the *old* part from the extruder.
Make sure you have completely empitied the cardboard box! - I found mine underneath the stepped cardboard section in the box .....but not until I'd become quite annoyed at the prospect of having to re-assemble the printer to print and then tear it down again . . .. in a moment of calmness I conscripted my daughter to check all the parts. After not finding the part she said "Have you checked the box?" ....'Of course I have - look! .. . . . . .Oh...here it is!" So I'm going to take a short break, have a coffee and return to finishing the build - Please add some text above to tell us to look under the stepped shelf in the box :-) Coffee time...
That's just happened to me! You comment saved me from wasting my time and re ordering the missing part. The missing part were right under stepped shelf! I wonder if is wasn't done for some kinda twisted quest hunt ?! But glad I found it with your help and saved from annoyance! ;-)
