1. Preparing the test print

Step 1 of 8 (Chapter 6 of 7)

Before you start printing own models, let's print some bundled object to see that the upgraded printer works properly. Follow these instructions:
On the touchscreen navigate to Print -> Local -> examples and select Prusa_SL1S_Calibration_test_1H_50um_Prusa_Orange.sl1s
You will see a preview and information of the print. Swipe the screen to continue.
All these example models are prepared for the Prusa Orange Tough resin. If you have another, adjust the exposure values needed for a specific resin in the Print Settings menu.

Misspelling in the caution on this step:
"All these example models are prepared for the Prusa Orange Though resin."
Though should be Tough

The ONLY issue I've run into was with the old USB. The SL1Speed doesn't read the old .stls on there because they are no longer compatible. That makes sense. But, I created a new project(project A) -set it up with supports etc like an other normal project and project-A printed beautifully. The second project(project-B) I made and exported to the same USB and from that point on the it will only show that first original project(project-A) I made and successfully printed.
So, to clarify a bit -When I tap on print the screen reads that there are 4 items in that folder but ONLY shows the first one(project-A)  printed. This second print(project-B) I created/sliced/saved/exported does not show up. *While the screen displays a small image of the project for the user it quickly flashes and image of the second print(project-B) but then goes back to showing the initial project(project-A) I setup.  Now what I did was export that project to an SDCard(a USB works too) and plugged that in via USB and it read project-B and is now printing it.

So maybe this is just a glitch in the matrix but I wanted to record the issue here with all of you... my... my friends. This is worth the upgrade in my opinion. Worthy of note some of the downgrade situations like the old platform/tanks/UV uncalibrated but that's not a big deal -just something to understand when going into the upgrade. I doubt I'll EVER even consider downgrading. I will be looking to get another SL1S though.

Hi! Thank for the comment and a positive feedback! Due to the different pixel pitch, SL1 files are unfortunately not compatible with SL1S SPEED.
For the behavior you are describing with the USB drive and the files: the USB drive itself might be the culprit. Check that you are running the latest firmware on the printer. Check if there are special characters in the filename of the SL1S file.
The ".." /previous - root folder icon on top of the files list when you browse the USB drive on the printer screen may include the files from the root folder into the count; including the files stored locally on the printer.  If the problem persists, please contact support via shop.prusa3D.com and provide them with the logs from the printer so the developers have something to look at :)
